A British number one and 2017 Wimbledon finalist, that’s a pretty impressive achievement. And now she can add being an ellesse ambassador too! We’ve teamed up with tennis player Johanna Konta, as she joins the ellesse tennis team.
She’ll join the likes of current ellesse family Cameron Norrie and Alfie Hewett, as well as a long list of other tennis legends such as Boris Becker, Chris Evert, Tommy Haas, Pat Cash and Guillermo Vilas who have all achieved key career highlights wearing ellesse.
Johanna said: “I’m very excited to be joining the ellesse team ahead of what I hope is a big year for me. Ellesse and tennis go hand-in-hand and their experience will allow me to go out and play with style. I’m really looking forward to getting back out on the court and showcasing their unique style to the world.”
At 27-years-old, Johanna has already become a world number 4 after a historic, record-breaking run at the All England Club in 2017. In fact, her quarter-final match was the most viewed women’s Wimbledon match in the UK ever. As a double Grand Slam semi-finalist (Wimbledon 2017 and Australian Open 2016) and a triple WTA Tour title winner, Johanna is a force to be reckoned with in the women’s game.
You’ll see Johanna on the court head to toe in ellesse from 2019, so keep an eye out in upcoming tennis tournaments to see her representing ellesse!
